Landscape Lighting
Different lighting concepts:
Area lighting: general lighting for decks, patios, etc., so they are safe and usable at night.
Path lighting: general illumination for walkways, steps, and garden paths. They not only add safety but give the walkway an appealing affect.
Accent Lighting: illuminates those areas that you want to draw attention to. Accent lighting can give dramatic effect.
Silhouette lighting: the light actually shines through the bush or tree onto a wall to give striking affects against the wall.
Moon lighting: it gives the effect of a bright moonlit night.
Grazing: also called wall washing, shining a light vertically to accentuate the texture on a stone or rock surface.
